Memorial weekend

Yesterday at this time I was finishing up breakfast out with Ryan. Going out for breakfast is one of our favorite things to do. But, its just like any other Tuesday now. I'm blogging instead of doing homework, Ryan is at school, and our bathroom is begging to be cleaned.

On Friday we watched the finale of 24. 24 has got to be the most suspenseful show on TV. It has my heart pounding for basically an entire hour every time I watch it. Lost also had a finale last week that Ryan watched and seemed to enjoy. I've never watched Lost. My newest TV favorite is Glee, which I watch online after it airs.

Not sure what inspired me, but I came up with an idea to take artsy pictures of myself, attempting to incorporate a bright yellow mug and purple eye makeup and nail polish. The photos really didn't turn out as I had hoped, but by playing with the saturation and contrast, some of them came out alright. They remind me of a trendy magazine advertisement that make one say "How is this an ad for [fill in the blank], you can't even see anything!"

Work this weekend was ok. Saturday once again was 3x busier than Sunday. I still leave that place feeling like I left something undone. In fact, I had a dream that I took the MAR's (med admin records) home with me! In my dream I was saying "Oh no, I have to get these back to Trillium!"

I may have mentioned in a previous post that I signed up to design a page in an art journal. I am designing my birthday (7/22). I have a basic idea down:

The rectangle is my design space. I made the silhouettes of Ryan and I and carved a bird stamp. Hopefully I can put them all together to look half-way decent.
