I hope you don't have hypertension...

...because things are about to get SALTY!!!!

(good one, huh?)
The email

Thats right!  Ryan matched with the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City for a one-year General Practice Residency!  I am so proud of him and the hard work and dedication he put in to all this.  He really toiled at his studies, and takes his patient assignment in clinic seriously.  It hasn't been all fun and games, but thanks to his investment in learning how to be an excellent dentist, The University couldn't pass him up!

We are both really excited to move out there.  There are innumerable mountains, lakes, parks, hikes, slopes, dance studios...everything we want!  Except family, of course.  We will really miss Ohio, most of all our parents.  I've taken for granted being about to drive 3 hours and eat dinner at "home."  It wasn't an easy decision to shoot for a program out west, but we decided that we are at a place in our lives where it makes sense to go.

That morning we weren't expecting to find out until noon.  At 9ish Ryan came walking into the bedroom while I was getting ready holding his phone out.  "I know.  I know where we're going," he said.  "NO WAY." I shouted back!  I jumped up and down a couple of times before he told me Salt Lake City.

Armed with excess excitement and an ipad, we quickly headed out to have breakfast at The Angry Baker.  Delicious muffin with breakfast burritos satiated us while we surfed the net for apartments, jobs, anything Salt Lake.

After we ate we called our parents to share the good news.  Now comes the fun task of coordinating our move.  I'll keep you posted!
