Caballeros!

The trip planning is coming along slowly. I have 2 activities nailed down with e-mail confirmations. One is a 2-day mountain-bike tour of Quilotoa Crater Lake and Volcan Cotopaxi, the other is a horse-riding tour of Pululahua Crater. There are a couple potential problems...one is that bike seats hurt my butt and I like to complain about it loudly and often (I doubt they will have gel seats). The other is that I have a pretty strong horse allergy. We are going to take a test run with Zyrtec before the trip.

We are trying to get to a cloud forest for some bird watching too :)

It's the little things...

...That make a job not only bearable...but maybe even a little fun.

Don't get me wrong... I love taking care of the lovely folks at Trillium, but sometimes work is work, and it can get a little monotonous. Which is precisely why Associate Appreciation Week couldn't have come at a better time.

My buddy Miranda and I made T-Shirts at the end of our shift yesterday and had a ball. Here's mine...it glows! My shirt:
It was also a good weekend because 2 of my cousins came to visit. We hung out at Easton, ate at Pasquale's (which was delicious might I add), rented a movie and painted nails. It was good to spend some QT with them.

Worth their weight in gold..

I love the Golden Girls.

There is a picture of me as a 6 or 7 year old laying on my grandma's bed watching a black and white tv...if you look closely you can see Dorothy Zbornak opening the door for Stan.

Somehow the show takes me to a happy place. I just love Blanche and I love Sophia too...all four characters are wonderful. I like seeing their various boyfriends, weekend trips, parties, dances, schemes, etc. I like their outfits; Blanche and Rose running around in heels, Dorothy in flats.

Thanks to my mom I have the whole series on DVD. Right now I'm watching the bowling competition episode :)
